Spring flings: Plan a one day getaway

These longer days are made for stepping away from the screen and filling up on fresh air. And since even one full day of playing hooky can help shake off spring fever, we’re perfecting the art of the one day getaway with a little help from you.

Create a place board of your ideal dawn to dusk daycation—at home or away—with descriptions to help sketch out the day. Here’s our 24 hours in San Francisco board for a little inspiration.

Send it to us by Monday, March 24th at 5pm PST. We’ll choose 25 of our favorites to share with the community, and if yours gets picked, we’ll send you a little something from Pinterest to take on your travels.

For tips on planning one day getaways, we asked travel blogger Christy Woodrow of Ordinary Traveler to co-host our next Twitter chat. Tweet us your daycation #Pinspiration this Friday, March 21st, between 9-10am PST and include @Pinterest and @OrdinaryTravelr. Christy, our Pincierge for the chat, will send you a Pin or a board to jumpstart your next 24-hour escape, from backyard camping to hitting the open road.
