Lititz, PA – February 26, 2015 – Listrak, a single, integrated predictive digital marketing platform providing email, personalization and retargeting specifically tailored for retailers, recently announced that Chief Privacy Officer James Koons has joined the Board of Directors of the Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group (M³AAWG) as the Full Member representative. On the Board, Koons joins the ranks of representatives from companies such as AT&T, Comcast, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, PayPal and Yahoo!.
The purpose of M³AAWG is to bring the online industry together to work collaboratively and to successfully address the various forms of messaging abuse, such as malware, spam, viruses, denial-of-service attacks and other messaging exploitations. To accomplish this, M³AAWG develops initiatives in the three areas necessary to resolve the messaging abuse problem: industry collaboration, technology, and public policy.

The M³AAWG Board works not only with constituent members, but also seeks to establish dialogue with outside groups who have similar missions. M³AAWG works cooperatively with enforcement agencies such as the FTC and FBI, industry trade groups and policy organizations by providing technical expertise on operational and security issues that affect the industry’s ability to protect end-users.

He is also a member of the National Retail Federation’s Shop.org Advisory Group, Patent Troll Working Group and Privacy Working Group.
