Optimove, a company providing automated retention marketing solutions for businesses, has announced it has added real-time marketing capabilities to its platform. In short, this will allow marketers to deliver the right messages to mobile users at exactly the right time, based on real-time activity triggers. This update joins the platform’s existing features for maximizing revenue and customer lifetime value, including user segmentation technology.
Via this real-time update, marketers will have the ability to increase customer engagement and reduce churn by responding to consumer actions as they happen. For instance, when a mobile shopper is about to spend more than $75 in a particular shopping category (say, Clothing or Electronics), the merchant could trigger a message encouraging them to increase their spending to $100 to unlock a free shipping (or similar) discount.
As another example, when a mobile game player loses the same level multiple times in a row, the developer could deliver a message offering free additional lives if the player is willing to invite their friends to download the app. Each message can be personalized to the individual user, based on their specific purchase history, predicted future value, risk of churn and more.
