Funtactix, a developer and publisher of mobile and social games, has announced the creation of its new publishing division, and its new consumer brand, FTX Games. The company specializes in creating games based on top television and film properties, and has previously released The Hunger Games Adventures and The League: Official Fantasy Game on mobile devices, with the former also available on Facebook.
As part of this development, Casey Dickinson, the company’s former head of marketing (pictured), will lead the studio as its GM and vice president of publishing. This new publishing division will work with major film studios to strengthen partnerships and guide the creation of future branded titles.
Dickinson is a 10-year industry veteran, and was part of the launch of over 20 titles for Sony and Ubisoft before joining Funtactix four years ago.
“Casey has a wealth of experience in both the business and creative sides of the industry.” said Sam Glassenberg, CEO of Funtactix, in a statement. “In this new role, he’ll be able to use that perspective to continue to drive the growth of the company as we recognize this new opportunity.”
Funtactix, and now FTX Games, has a series of titles already in development for release throughout 2015 and 2016, including the recently announced Hot Tub Time Machine: Tap That and Power Rangers: Unite.
