While the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will square off in Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIX, many eyeballs will be on the ads showing in between the game action.
Crowdtap, a people powered marketing platform, polled roughly 6,000 consumers on its platform about the role that social media plays in regards to Super Bowl advertising.
Here are some of the company’s findings (the rest are in the infographic below):
- 64.9% of respondents are either extremely or somewhat likely to interact with brands on social media while watching to find Super Bowl related content.
- 73.6% are either extremely or somewhat likely to take action on social media (e.g. use a hashtag, share a photo, tweet, etc.) if a Super Bowl TV ad asks them to.
