A tweet by One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson to his bandmate Harry Styles has now become the second most-retweeted tweet in Twitter’s history, despite being posted more than three years ago.

“Always in my heart @Harry_Styles . Yours sincerely, Louis,” tweeted Tomlinson on October 2nd, 2011, and that missive has now been shared on Twitter more than 774,000 times.

However, that figure, impressive as it is, remains a long way behind Twitter’s most retweeted tweet, which was the Oscar selfie posted by Ellen Degeneres during the Academy Awards in March of last year.

Tomlinson moves above President Barack Obama, whose “Four more years” tweet in November 2012 occupied Twitter’s top spot until being passed by Ellen.
